American flags fly around Dixon Correctional Institute
American flags dot the fence around Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson. The flag display was erected for Memorial Day and will remain in place through the Fourth of July. More than 1,000 flags line both sides of the highway for more than a mile along the prison’s white picket fence. The highlight of the display is the massive 10-foot by 19-foot flag that flies directly across from the prison.
