NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) – A body was removed from the Yantic River Wednesday afternoon in Norwich.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a possible body in the Yantic River at around 4:30 p.m. Since the police were not sure of the exact location, they conducted a systematic search of the area.
