    Man arrested after hit and run and shooting in Monroe County

    VILLAGE OF NORWALK, Wis. (WKBT) -- A man is in custody following a hit and run and shooting incident.

    According to a release, Monroe County Sheriff deputies responded to a reported hit and run crash in the Village of Norwalk Wednesday night.

    The crash happened at Main Street and South Water Street. Deputies found the suspect's vehicle behind an address located on Main Street.

    According to Monroe County, as deputies made their way to the suspect's residence, a single gunshot rang out. The suspect's roommate left the residence and was detained. Deputies said when they entered, the shooter dropped the firearm and tried to run into another room.

    Deputies took the shooter, identified as 18-year-old Eduardo Jimenez, into custody. No one was injured from the shooting.

    The handgun used was stolen, according to investigators.

    Jimenez faces three counts of recklessly endangering safety, as well as disorderly conduct, go armed with firearm while intoxicated, hit and run, OWI 1st, and receiving stolen property-firearm.

    Jimenez is currently held in Monroe County Jail.
