Final Akron-filmed ‘Antiques Roadshow’ airs Monday
AKRON, Ohio – The third and final “Antiques Roadshow” that includes coverage from its Akron stop a year ago is scheduled to air Monday, May 13. The long-running PBS show’s first two Akron episodes were shown on the last two Mondays and devoted exclusively to the appraisals at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron. This Monday’s episode is “Junk in the Trunk,” a hodgepodge of interviews with folks in several locations – a museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; the North Carolina Museum of Art, Old Sturbridge Village, Massachusetts; the Alaska Native Heritage Center and Stan Hywet.
Students brighten rainy day with music
BRUNSWICK – There was a packed house at Brunswick Middle School on Saturday as musicians and singers from sixth through eighth grades performed throughout the day.
