3 shot in separate incidents in Toledo
Three people were shot in separate incidents in Toledo over the weekend. Sylvester Cyrus, 24, was shot in the leg during an altercation involving others Saturday evening in Toledo’s Polish Village neighborhood. Zyar Baker, 15, suffered an undescribed gunshot wound and was found by police in a home in the 2000 block of Berkshire Place about 12:25 a.m. Sunday. Tristan Baker, 19, arrived at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center seeking treatment for a gunshot wound about 11:43 p.m. Sunday while police were responding to a call of a person shot in the 2200 block of Kent Street. None of the three victims’ wounds was considered life-threatening.
Toledo man dies in head-on collision on Bancroft Street
A Toledo man is dead following a head-on collision in the 200 block of Bancroft Street just after 4 a.m. Saturday, Toledo police reported. Kato Hull, 41, of Toledo was traveling westbound on Bancroft when another vehicle driven by Devin Horner, 27, crossed the centerline as he was driving eastbound on Bancroft. Mr. Kato was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mr. Horner was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. An investigation is ongoing, according to Toledo police.
