Subdued winter contributed to statewide rise in traffic fatalities, but none to date in Rice County

Teen charged with vehicular homicide in crash last spring
A teenager was speeding and ran a stop sign before crashing into and killing an elderly man on Jefferson Parkway in Northfield last April, charges say.
