City sets public hearing on April 23 to discuss downtown property sale
The Northfield City Council will hold a public hearing and consider the terms of sale of the property at 115 5th St. W., better known as the former Northfield News building, to Loon Liquors on Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 801 Washington St. The city negotiated sale price is $960,000 based on an independent property appraisal. Council approves master plan for improved Riverside Lions Park, but funding still needed
After years of diligent work and extensive consultation with the community, the Northfield City Council has adopted a specific master plan for Riverside Lions Veterans Memorial Park, guided by the Riverfront Enhancement Action Plan approved in 2020.
