Body found in North St. Paul woodland, investigation underway

Police are investigating the circumstances of the death of a person found in North St. Paul last Friday.

Police were called to the 2200 block of 3rd Street after person who was out walking reported finding a body in a wooded area to the east of 3rd Street, near Oakhill Place.

The body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and formal identification.

"Based on the preliminary investigation there is no known active threat to the public," the North St. Paul Police Department said.

The person's identity will be released after preliminary autopsy is conducted and family has been identified.
