NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A family said they have been trying to get justice for more than a decade for their loved one, who was pregnant, and her boyfriend who were shot and killed outside North Little Rock in 2012.

On May 6, 2012, 24-year-old Alexis Crawford and her boyfriend 27-year-old Herman Hill were found shot and killed in a home on Reed Road outside of North Little Rock.

Pulaski County deputies found Crawford’s 2-year-old son Mark Everett inside the home unharmed.

Crawford’s cousin Shedereka Harris said it’s heartbreaking after all these years that no one has been arrested and convicted for the crime.

“That’s all I would ask them would you please try to give us some closure for the family for the kids, we need it,” Harris said.

Everett, who is now 14 years old, said he and his mom have something in common.

“She knows how to fight,” Everett said.

Harris added that she sees many things that Everett and Crawford have in common and is sad that he never got to grow up with his mom.

“She was a fun-loving person, she was joyful, she loved her kids and she would fight,” Harris said. “She was a fighter.”

She says she believes someone knows something that could get their family justice, but only if they are brave enough to come forward.

“That’s all I would ask them. Would you please try to give us some closure for the family for the kids? We need it,” Harris said.

She added that their entire family has felt this grief for years.

“Her (Crawford) father died broken-hearted because that’s all he ever wanted to know what happened,”  Harris said.

She said no matter what they won’t give up hope.

“It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but we will and are going to get justice for Alexis,” Harris said.
