Two injured in serious crash on NY 66 in North Greenbush

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A serious crash on NY 66 in North Greenbush closed the roadway for three hours on Thursday morning. The two drivers involved in the crash both suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to the North Greenbush Police Department.

Police and emergency services responded to the report of a head-on collision around 8 a.m. near NY 355 and the Poestenkill town line. After one of the two drivers was extricated from their car, both were taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.

The two drivers were the only people in their respective vehicles at the time of the crash, and police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
