North Canton City Schools purchase new bus

Wednesday meeting

ACTION: Approved the purchase of a handicap-accessible bus.

DISCUSSION: The approved bus is equipped with a chair lift. It will be purchased from Cardinal Bus Sales and Service for $143,808.

OTHER ACTION:

• Accepted the resignation of Tim Hulse, assistant principal at North Canton Middle School, effective at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
• Authorized employing Ashley Duff with a three-year contract as assistant principal at North Canton Middle School, effective Aug. 1, 2024. Her salary was not known at the time of the meeting.
• Approved a list of teachers for one-year contracts for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Approved a list of varsity head coaches for the 2024-2025 winter sports, including: Mike Bluey, boys' basketball; Craig Nettleton, girls' basketball; Nichole Wells, boys' & girls' bowling; Rhiannon Nicholas, gymnastics; Richard Vaughn, boys & girls swimming & diving; and Nick Gamble, wrestling.
