LOCK HAVEN – Progress can be seen on construction of the new Weis Gas N’ Go along Commerce Street and Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven. Community supporting local Girl Scout troop
Amazing community support was received when local Girl Scout troop put out a call for help. Lock Haven Girl Scout Troop 40158 reached out to the community for yard sale donations and the community stepped up in a big way. Troop 40158 is planning to raise funds for their troop by hosting a yard sale Friday, 5/31 and Saturday 6/1. This is one of the largest indoor yard sales we have seen – all due to the generosity of our community. Lock Haven Covenant United Methodist Church at 44 W. Main St generously agreed to host the location of the sale. Community members over the last month reached out to troop leaders and parents who were offering donation pick-ups. It is amazing to see a community come together and offer the troop this much support. Troop members would like to thank the community for the amazing response.
