Colfax questions, but approves, funding for 3rd of July fireworks
The Colfax City Council approved $10,000 in funding for the 3rd of July celebration during its May 22 meeting. Colfax City Manager Ron Walker advised the council this year’s event will be hosted by Festivals-of-Cali-805, a nonprofit known as Ojai Valley Lavender Festival located in the Santa Barbara area. Walker also confirmed the General Fund, which funds the city’s contribution to events, had a balance of $6,399.
