Oklahoma’s softball team got a tie-breaking RBI single from Tiare Jennings in the fourth inning to provide the winning run as the Sooners beat Oregon 3-2 to win the NCAA regional at Love’s Field in Norman on Sunday.

It’s OU’s 14th straight regional title, and the Sooners advance to the super regional for the 14th time in a row, the longest active streak in the country and the second longest in history.

Kelly Maxwell pitched the final two innings in relief of Nicole May.

Maxwell gave up just one hit and had two strikeouts.

May gave up five hits and just one earned run in five innings of work, striking out six.

The Sooners scored the first two runs of the game.

Kasidi Pickering hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning to put OU up 1-0.

In the second, Jayda Coleman doubled in Avery Hodge to make it 2-0 Sooners.

Oregon scored twice in the third inning on a home run and an RBI single to tie it 2-2.

Oklahoma has won 21 straight NCAA Tournament home games and have won 52 of their last 55.

This will be the sixth straight time OU has hosted a super regional.

OU has won the last nine super regionals they’ve competed in.

The super regional schedule will be released on Monday.
