Nodaway Valley Comes in Second in Pride of Iowa Conference Golf Championship

(Afton, IA) – At the Pride of Iowa Championship on Monday, Mount Ayr was able to earn first by just one shot over Nodaway Valley, winning with a team score of 332. Nodaway Valley was able to come behind in second with a team score of 333. Earning first place overall was Zayne Eslinger of East Union with a 77 while Mount Ayr’s Jaxson Greene finished second with 79. Nodaway Valley featured the third-place finisher Bradley Gebbie with an 81, Zach Gebbie at 82 in fifth, Landon Klobnak in eighth with an 83, and Xander Hogan finished in 12th with 87.

Head Coach Joel Klobnak said that his golfers were able to battle through the wet conditions and the wind to be able to take a top finish. This shows how things will be in the postseason for the Wolverines as they continue to be more consistent out on the course.
