    Bidding opens for 24 West Virginia Division of Highways construction projects

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — The West Virginia Department of Transportation released a list of 24 upcoming construction and renovation projects that are now open for contractors to begin bidding on.

    One of the biggest projects on the list is a “top to bottom rebuild” of I-77, starting by Tuppers Creek Road and finishing at the Jackson County line.

    The complete list of construction and renovation projects open for bidding are:

    • Barbour, Braxton, Gilmer, and Lewis counties – District 7 road striping
    • Boone County – Jill Micah Hess Memorial Bridge renovation
    • Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, and Ohio counties – District 6 road striping
    • Doddridge County – Smithton Road paving
    • Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor counties – District 4 guardrails
    • Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, and Monongalia counties – District 4 road striping
    • Fayette County – Virginia Street paving
    • Greenbrier County – Interstate 64 paving, Clintonville to Lewisburg
    • Jackson and Wood counties – I-77 interchange lighting, Fairplain, Ripley, Silverton and Mineral Wells exits
    • Kanawha County – Captain Benjamin D. Tiffner Memorial Bridge, northbound and southbound renovations
    • Kanawha County – District 1 guardrails
    • Kanawha County – Gabe’s Creek Bridge renovation
    • Kanawha County – I-64 Central Avenue Overpass Bridge rehabilitation and restoration
    • Kanawha County – I-77 paving, Tuppers Creek Road to Jackson County Line
    • Kanawha County – Tompkins Crossing Bridge rehabilitation and restoration
    • Kanawha County – US-119 paving, Falling Rock to Clendenin
    • Mineral County – Memorial Bridge renovation
    • Monongalia County – University Avenue Bridge renovation
    • Morgan County – Bath streetscape
    • Ohio County – Interstate 470 bridge approach renovations
    • Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph, and Tucker counties – District 8 guardrails
    • Preston County – Tunnelton drainage improvements
    • Putnam County – Hulbert Heights Bridge cleaning and painting
    • Putnam County – WV-34 paving, Hurricane to Teays Valley
