    Four men arrested in Wyoming County after coal mine break-in

    WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WVNS) – Four men were arrested on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Wyoming County following a break-in at the Bluestone Coal K2 Preperation plant near Burke Mountain.

    According to a press release from Sgt. Tyler Sizemore with the Wyoming County sheriff’s Department, three of the men were arrested while attempting to drive away from the mine, with stolen materials reportedly inside their truck.

    Fayette County man arrested following car chase

    A fourth man, who was able to evade police for a short time, was arrested Saturday night as well.

    Deputies later discovered the men were allegedly responsible for several other crimes at the K2 preparation plant.

    All four men are currently in custody with $100,000 cash-only bonds. The men’s identities have not yet been released as the investigation is still ongoing.
