The Black Keys has provided an update on the state of its upcoming U.S. tour after appearing to cancel it with no explanation, leaving fans wondering why.

The Akron natives removed all but one tour date from their website on Friday , and TicketMaster lists their shows as canceled.

The lone remaining date on their schedule, per the band's website , is on July 6 as part of a NASCAR event.

The band was scheduled to play at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Oct. 12 in support of their new album, "Ohio Players."

On social media, the canceled dates left fans wondering what is going on and why the dates were canceled. Some expressed concern about the health of members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney.

But in an Instagram post posted Sunday, the band updated fans on the status of the band's members and the U.S. piece of their tour.

The post begins by clarifying for fans that members Auerbach and Carney are "alive and well," hinting that the cancellations are not health related.

"Following the recent run of shows in the UK & Europe, including stops at iconic venues like Brixton Academy and the Zenith in Paris, we have decided to make some changes to the North American leg of the International Players Tour that will enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band, and will be announcing a revised set of dates shortly," the post reads

The Instagram post also clarifies that everyone who purchased tickets to an upcoming tour date that has since been canceled “will be fully refunded” and that those who bought tickets will be the first to be able to buy tickets once new dates are finalized.

The X account (previously Twitter) associated with the band posted a thread with similar messaging with the update about why the U.S. tour dates were removed.

Check back for updates for when The Black Keys announce new tour dates and when tickets will become available again.
