It has been a more challenging planting season for us with the continued rainfall this spring. We started dry, but the optimism for an early planting ended about April 25. It has just continued to rain every three to five days. Most of our corn was finished April 24 and then the last wetter field on May 15.The stand on the later-planted field is much better than the April 24 and 25 planted corn, which required some replanting. The well-tiled fields are showing their value this year again.
