KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – The school year is coming to an end for students in Kanawha County, which also means the 2024 Summer Food Service Program will soon be starting.
According to Kanawha County Schools, the program will take place from June 10 to Aug. 9, with varying dates at each site. Free breakfasts and lunches will be available for all children ages 2-18 who would like to participate. Officials also say once all students have been served, adults may purchase a meal on-site – $3.25 for breakfast and $4.35 for adults.
Officials with KCS say the Summer Food Service Program follows USDA requirements, meaning all meals must be distributed on-site and meals cannot be taken off-site.
Kanawha County Schools says all sites will be closed on June 20 and July 4, any other changes to times or locations will be made public on the KCS website.

- Central Elementary : June 10-Aug. 9, 2024
- Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Elk Elementary : June 10-Aug. 9, 2024
- Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Flinn Elementary : June 10-Aug. 9, 2024
- Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Kanawha Valley Enrichment Center : June 10-Aug. 9, 2024
- Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Overbrook Elementary : June 10-Aug. 9, 2024
