There is a new place in Tehaleh that offers a view of Mount Rainier while you eat and drink.
Post & Pour at 19001 Cascadia Blvd. E. is part cafe, bistro and tap house. It is open 7 a.m. every day. It closes 5:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and it closes 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Customers can purchase breakfast sandwiches, coffee and beer. The place also offers pastries, tea and wine. A full menu can be found at postandpour.com/menu .
One of the owners, Melanie Clark, told The News Tribune that coffee is one of their biggest sellers. The place features local businesses such as Dillanos Coffee Roasters in Sumner and CJ’s Deli & Catering in Bonney Lake.
Clark said two of their most popular sandwiches are the chicken bacon ranch and the cheesy garlic chicken. Both cost $9.50.
The chicken bacon ranch includes chicken breast, cheddar, bacon and ranch on ciabatta. The cheesy garlic chicken includes chicken breast, havarti, red onion and garlic cheese spread on ciabatta.

There are plans to expand the menu in June, Clark said. They will offer shareable items such as flatbreads, baked brie and charcuterie, among other things. They will also have a self-pour tap system and wine system.
The place has a large outdoor patio with tables and a fire pit. There is also a back lawn and patio area with a second fireplace, Clark said.

Post & Pour was previously called The Post, which housed Caffé D’arte and the Tehaleh Welcome Center. Clark and her team took over operations in April. She said she and her husband wanted to offer a community-focused space close to where they live.

Clark and her husband run a construction company in Seattle. They moved to Tehaleh in 2022. They previously lived in Auburn. Her parents lived in the Tehaleh area for many years, she said.
Tehaleh is a mixed-use area south of Bonney Lake. The News Tribune reported in January that the plan for the community is to have up to 9,700 homes and 1,800 acres of parks, trails and open space.
