    Crash on I-95 South caused backup in Hanover

    HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A crash on Interstate 95 South caused backups in Hanover County.

    According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash took place at mile marker 89.2, just south of the Lewistown Road interchange. The southbound left lane and center lane were both closed.

    By 11:07 a.m. on Friday, the scene was cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

    Southbound traffic was backed up to the England Street interchange. Drivers in the area were asked to use alternate routes and expect delays.
