Bold and Beautiful fans ‘about to vomit’ over the soap’s overkill ‘toe obsession’

The Bold and the Beautiful fans were "about to vomit" over the soap opera's overkill "toe obsession" during Sheila's wedding episode.

During Thursday's episode of B&B, fans were left confused and disturbed as the soap opera featured numerous close-up shots of Sheila's nine toes throughout the episode. On Shiela's wedding day viewers witnessed close-up shots of the bride-to-be painting her toenails black ahead of her special day, her feet as she walked down the aisle, toe-themed cookies at the wedding, and even mention of her toes in the vows she exchanged with Deacon.

And while Sheila's toes are of importance to her romance with Deacon, viewers took to X, formerly Twitter , expressing that they thought the B&B writers took the toe-related content a bit too far during the wedding. One viewer wrote: " I’m about to vomit. They won’t stop with the toe s---." And another agreed: " Eating a toe cookie is crazy. Having them at a wedding is even crazier lmao."

And another fan added: " Toe-themed food. Multiple close ups of the 9-toes….whichever writer in that writers room with the foot fetish needs to GO." While someone else joked: " The toe obsession is giving Nickelodeon."

Despite the criticism, Sheila's feet do hold significance to the B&B storyline as this was how her fiancé Deacon discovered that the corpse that they believed to be Sheila was in fact someone else. Just before "Sheila's" body was going to get cremated, Deacon noticed that the dead body had all ten toes rather than nine, leading him to embark on a journey to find where the real Sheila was. Long-time viewers of the series know that she only has nine toes because in summer of 2022 she cut one of them off in order to convince police that she had been eaten by a bear.

And as Deacon and Sheila exchanged their vows, the minister - a homeless man that helped Deacon find Sheila - mentioned her toes. During the episode, he said: "I had the pleasure of speaking with Deacon about your unique and unconventional relationship and how a missing toe was responsible for saving your life and thus making this day possible."
