    Storm Watch: Severe storms could bring lightning, damaging winds, and hail to Connecticut

    WEATHER ALERT - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Fairfield County.

    NOW: Lots of clouds this morning with downpours and thunderstorm approaching CT from the west. It's quite humid! Main impact will be around 10 a.m. until around 2 p.m. Aside from soaking rain, an embedded severe storm may produce hail and strong to damaging winds of 40-60 mph.

    NEXT: Areas of sun with a lot of clouds into the middle part of the afternoon. An evening storm is possible today but only isolated, not everyone will see this. The heat is back on Friday with a few showers possible late Saturday. Sunday is mainly dry for the region. Monday is not a washout, but some showers will be around.
