John Legend’s Daughter Luna Made Her Debut as a ‘Guest Correspondent’ in the Cutest Red Carpet Interview

When John Legend walked the red carpet for Monday’s finale of The Voice , he was interviewed by his adorable daughter Luna, who he shares with wife Chrissy Teigen. The 8-year-old made her debut as a “guest correspondent” for Entertainment Tonight in a sweet new video — and, yep, you can tell she was raised by two stars!
In the clip (which you can watch HERE ), the EGOT winner told ET ’s reporter that “our special guest correspondent Luna and Miles are here.” (Their youngest kids Esti, 16 months, and Wren, 10 months, were not in attendance.) The reporter called the kids over, and while 6-year-old Miles held back (there’s nothing wrong with being shy!), Luna sauntered over like she owned the place.

Dressed in a pink patterned skirt with black t-shirt, Luna walked up to the microphone and spoke clearly into it. “Why do you think that Team Legend is going to win?” Luna asked her dad.
He smiled and answered, “Because we have some amazing singers. And your favorite performance, when you guys came last time, was Nathan. And he’s going to be performing today and it’s going to be even better than the last time.”
Miles, also wearing a black t-shirt but paired with jeans, stands next to his sister as she asks another question: “How are you celebrating after the finale? Is there a party at your house?”
“Well, we’re going to celebrate here, on the studio campus with all of the producers and everybody, and the crew that made the show happen,” Legend answered. “And we’re going to bring lots of my wine, LVE, we’re bringing donuts, and we’re going to have a nice celebration here.”
At this point, you can tell Luna is bored. There’s only so much focus an 8-year-old can give, right? Especially when the reporter turns the attention to Miles’ birthday, which he recently celebrated at a Monster Jam show, according to Legend. At the end of the interview, Luna was asked if she liked interviewing her dad as a TV correspondent, and she replied, “Uh … sure, yeah.”
She was a lot more decisive when asked if it was “pretty cool being at work with dad.” “Yeah,” she responded. And she’s had lots of practice! Her and Miles often visit their dad on set, where they get to watch the show and sit in the famous red chairs. Yesterday, Legend shared a photo of the two kids, smiling in the chairs.
If Luna doesn’t want to be a journalist when she gets older, she could lean into one of her other interests instead. Earlier this month, the Chrissy & Dave Dine Out star shared how her eldest daughter helped her get ready for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover.
“Luna was actually using the leaf blower on my hair,” Teigen told Extra , adding that her Luna “loves seeing all this stuff ever since she was little.” Teigen continued, “She loved watching me in glam, getting hair and makeup done. She puts on my shoes, everything… She was clicking the little clicker for our video takes, and John was going through photos.”
