Cloudy with a chance of showers this weekend

HEADLINES:

• Clouds linger over the weekend.
• Brighter weather and warmer next week.

FORECAST:

Storm Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says clouds will linger for the weekend, but at least it doesn't look like we'll see much rain.

There is a chance tomorrow of some widely scattered showers and sprinkles. Winds will be onshore and that will keep temperatures down in spots. Depending on your location, temperatures will range from 64 to 70. Those closer to the sound will feel cooler with middle 60s.

The weather stays mostly cloudy for Sunday but looks dry. Temperatures may rise a few degrees and approach 70 just about everywhere.

Look for a warm up to hit next week. The early part of the week will be sunnier and dry. There is a risk of some thunderstorms on Thursday and that will start to cool us down for Friday.

Looking ahead to next weekend and there could be some showers by the end with a dry start.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny. High of 70.

MONDAY: Sun and clouds. High of 72.
