    Caroline County Sheriff’s Office investigating alleged assault at Flying J truck stop

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a man who allegedly assaulted staff and citizens at a truck stop last week.

    On Thursday, May 9, deputies were called to the Flying J truck stop located at 23866 Rogers Clark Blvd. for a reported assault.

    According to authorities, a suspect had entered the business and gone behind the counter in an attempt to steal five cartons of cigarettes.

    As the suspect was leaving the store, he was confronted by employees and citizens. According to authorities, the man then assaulted staff and citizens before getting in a blue Toyota sedan driven by a white female.
