DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – What do Beach, Foley, and Santos have in common? They are three winners of $100,000 each in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s free Quic Pic ticket promotion.

The lottery held a promotion that gave a free ticket to those who purchased $4 or more of any Mass Cash, The Numbers Game, or Keno drawing on a single ticket between April 11 and May 12.

Leonard Beach of Mattapan bought The Numbers Game ticket on May 11 at Super Liquors in Hyde Park and received a free Quic Pic ticket for the Mass Cash drawing. When claiming his $100,000 winning ticket at the Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters on Wednesday, he said that he regularly plays The Numbers Game and his special set of numbers are in memory of his late wife the day he won.

“It’s her grave number,” said Beach. “That’s the number I play every day. I play it faithfully.” He said he had visited her grave right before purchasing the ticket.
