Strong to marginally severe storms possible in southern parts of Central Florida

Southern parts of Central Florida could see strong to marginally severe storms.

A weak cold front stalling near Lake Okeechobee could have rainy effects on the area, according to NWS Melbourne.

The weather could include damaging wind gusts, coin-sized hail, cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and localized flooding of poor drainage areas.

A drier airmass behind the front has sunny skies for the rest of Central Florida.

Temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s are higher than their seasonal values.
