The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 24 parole hearings on May 1, one of which involved a Chilton County offender.

Jerry Lee Washington Jr. was denied parole by the board and received no reset date. Washington had no one speak in favor or against parole being granted during his hearing.

Washington is currently serving a 108-month sentence for an Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle arrest on Oct. 12, 2023 in Chilton County with a concurrent 96-month sentence for a Possession of a Controlled Substance charge as well. Washington has currently served three years, four months and three days of his sentence with jail credit and good time incorporated.
