Relationships of all kinds can be hard. You may struggle to forgive a friend who talked about you behind your back. You may face the temptation to cheat on your partner. You may struggle with jealousy , patience or trust. One major key of a healthy relationship is communication or check-ins . If you and/or a loved one struggle with this, a therapist can be a great person to turn to for guidance.

When you want to have a more Godly relationship, though, scripture is one place to go. That's where Bible verses about relationships come in. The Word is full of encouraging verses that can guide you on how to have a God-honoring love with your boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, friend, family member or anyone else you have a relationship with. It also has lots of verses for people dealing with other relationship challenges, like losing a loved one , struggling with their singleness or just needing hope in general.

After all, love—in all its forms—is vital. As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:13, faith, hope and love abide, “but the greatest of these is love.” This goes for loving ourselves, loving God, loving others, and knowing that we, too, are loved.

Ahead, check out 75 Bible verses that illustrate what Godly love looks like and can encourage you in all relationship stages. These verses can also serve as prayers and reminders for you or you and your loved one.
