    1 hospitalized in motorcycle accident near WV-PA border

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was taken to the hospital Wednesday evening following a motorcycle accident near the West Virginia-Pennsylvania border in Monongalia County.

    According to an official with the Monongalia County 911 Center, at around 5:15 p.m., crews were alerted to a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Point Marion Road/U.S. Route 119. Crews on scene found that one person was injured and took them to Ruby Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

    The official did not specify the cause of the accident nor the extent of the person’s injuries. They also confirmed that the road is not closed in the area.

    Crews from the Cheat Lake Fire Department, Mon EMS and the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department all responded to this call.
