According to Hello! Magazine , His Majesty is expected to appear with the prince to bestow upon him the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps (we previously reported that this title was headed William’s way back in September). The father and son are set to meet on May 13 at the Army Flying Museum in London for the joint engagement.
As stated by The Independent , this military role was supposed to be given to the monarch’s youngest son, Prince Harry, who served in the Army Air Corps during his service in Afghanistan. Since the Duke of Sussex is no longer a senior member of the British royal family, the title automatically went to Prince William.
Prince Harry told the outlet through his spokesperson, “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program.”

He continued, “The Duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
On April 30, King Charles marked his return to work after beginning treatment for cancer by visiting the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London. While accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla , His Majesty appeared in good spirits as he met with staff workers and well-wishers at the facility.
