FORECAST: It's already feeling like summer in SWFL!

Here’s your evening forecast for Monday, May 6th, 2024.

It's feeling more like mid to late June! High temperatures warmed into the lower 90s. Factor in the humidity, and it felt more like the mid-90s. Those high heat index values will remain our primary concern as we head through the work week, especially with limited showers and storms.

Isolated showers this evening will mainly be concentrated in Collier county, clearing by midnight. Overnight, clouds clear out and we'll start off Tuesday with a mostly sunny sky and muggy temperatures in the low 70s along the coast and upper 60s inland.

Tomorrow's forecast will be very similar to today with highs in the low 90s and a 20% chance of an isolated shower or storm inland. Starting Wednesday even drier air moves in and we will see temperatures climb to 93° Wednesday afternoon. This drier air should stay in place through Friday, keeping our rain chances very low.

Looking ahead to the weekend, isolated showers and storms return to the forecast Saturday and Sunday with highs staying in the low 90s as a weak front approaches.
