OBITUARY: Brenda Joyce Sutton Proctor
By Jennifer Haley,
Brenda Joyce Sutton Proctor left this world on May 4, 2024.
She entered it on February 26, 1946, born to Dewey and Maggie Sutton.
She was a loving wife to Milburn Proctor, a wonderful mother to Jason and Shane, and an amazing grandmother to Caleb and Brook. Her caring stretched much farther than just to these five people, however. Being the oldest, she was always looking out for her sisters and brother. Her home was open to her nephews and nieces and any others who might stop by. She loved to host dinners and would set a placemat out for each person attending.
She loved the Lord and would use her gift of hospitality in many ways for the church. She hosted visiting preachers and missionaries, always cooked more than enough for potlucks, and had a meal ready for those who were sick or grieving.
You could easily find her in a group by her loud voice and ready laugh. She was a good listener with a story to share as well. She loved babies and children. She worked as a teacher in the church, shaping many young lives and pointing them to Jesus.
