After another fun week of the high school softball season, it's time to look back on the best performances.

Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the North Jersey Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Voting closes at 4 p.m. Thursday.

    Makenzie Crowe, Wayne Valley

The Indians advanced to the Passaic County semifinals with Crowe lifting Wayne Valley past Passaic Valley with an eight strikeout performance. For the week, she was 5-12 at the plate with four RBIs.

    Deana Finkelstein, Demarest

Demarest has become the biggest surprise in North Jersey and scored their biggest win of the season Saturday over Hawthorne. The freshman threw a complete game against the Bears and stuck out 11 and also scored a run.

    Averi Galioto, Old Tappan

The Muhlenberg commitment had another good week and the Golden Knights clinched a share of the league title. Galioto went 9-17 for the week with a triple, four RBIs and four runs scored highlighted by a 4-5 performance against Pascack Valley.

    Morgan Gurdak, Wallington

The junior catcher went 6-12 this week with three home runs, a double, eight RBIs and five runs scored for the Panthers, including a homer in their county tournament loss to Indian Hills. She has become one of North Jersey’s top catchers.

    Gia Liu, Ridgewood

Liu is back on this list again after going 9-14 with seven RBIs at the plate including a monster 3-4 day in an upset of River Dell in the Bergen County Tournament second round. The senior captain leads the Maroons with 21 RBIs this season and is batting .500.

    Kendall McNamara, Fair Lawn

In big back-to-back performances in the circle, the senior lifted the Cutters to wins over Top 25 foes West Milford and Ridgefield Park. Against the third-seeded Scarlets in the Bergen County Tournament, McNamara threw a complete game three hitter and fanned 10 to earn the win.

    Grace Wien, Saddle Brook

The Falcons are still in the NJIC Liberty Division race, with Wien doing her part earning wins in the circle over Secaucus and defending league champ Ridgefield, where she threw a four hitter. She has already topped 100 strikeouts this season.
