"A puppy who found itself stuck in a hole between two walls was rescued by a young man who armed himself with a hammer and a lot of patience in Culiacan, Mexico, on April 23," the caption of the video posted to YouTube reads.

In the clip, we can see Jesus Alejandro Sepulveda taking his time to try to chisel the puppy free from the wall.

Sepulveda was working in a factory when he heard one of the puppies "crying a lot," so we walked over to investigate. And that's when he saw the puppy stuck in the wall.

Without hesitating, Sepulveda got to work trying to free the puppy.

"He grabbed a hammer and started carefully working around the dog to make more space to free the animal," and thankfully, he could do that.

The little dog looked so relieved to be free , and the puppy was "safely returned to its mother."

The video was shared across social media, including Threads , and several people commented on this incredible rescue.

"Hero," one person wrote on Threads.

How to Keep Your Puppy Safe While Outside

It's unknown how this puppy got wedged where it was, but it's a good reminder for puppy parents about some outdoor safety tips .

According to ASPCA , there are a few things we should be concerned about when taking our dogs outside.

"Outdoor activities like taking a long walk, going on an adventurous hike, or romping around the dog park are all fantastic ways to get your dog some exercise and strengthen the bond you share," the site explains.

"However, there are some things that are not so great for your dog in the great outdoors."

They note that one of the most important things you can do to help keep your puppy safe outside is to supervise your dog.

"It can be tempting to let your dog run freely at the dog park while you catch up with friends, but you should know where your dog is at all times and be aware of their surroundings," ASPCA shares.

The organization also reminds pet parents to watch for parasites, be aware of poison dangers, including stagnant water and toxic plants, and always consider the weather before taking their pooch outside.
