    Traffic stop in Holmes County leads to trafficking charge

    HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – A traffic stop conducted on Thursday, resulted in two men getting arrested for trafficking charges.

    According to authorities, Derek Hann, from Colorado was driving the vehicle. Holmes County Sheriff’s deputies saw the utilization of the Bonifay Police Department’s K9 Buck.

    The K9 quickly alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics, resulting in a subsequent search that uncovered LSD, a set of scales, and drug paraphernalia.

    Hann and his passenger Don Weatherford, from Virginia, were transported to the Holmes County Jail. Upon arrival, a strip search revealed Weatherford had 43 grams of MDMA concealed on his body, officials said.

    Hann faces charges of possession of LSD. Weatherford is facing charges of trafficking in MDMA, possession of narcotic equipment, and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.
