Tractor trailer accident on I-99 in Centre County injures one

SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) – A two-vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer sent one individual to the hospital and caused substantial traffic disruption on I-99 Friday afternoon.

According to Spring Township Police, a car pulled out of Jacksonville Road onto I-99 Southbound in Centre County when it was struck by a tractor trailer. Traffic had to be reduced to one lane, causing a back-up.

Three people were in the car and one passenger was taken to an area hospital by helicopter. The driver of the tractor trailer was not treated for injuries.

The car was towed from the scene and the tractor trailer was able to drive away.
