PLEASANT VALLEY, W.Va. (WBOY) — Interstate 79 will see lane closures during the week of Monday, May 6 through Saturday, May 11.

The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) said crews will be constructing the Millersville Bridge crossover so that northbound traffic can get onto the new section of the bridge.

During the first part of the week, Monday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 8, work will be done between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. and there will be a lane closure I-79 southbound, at mile marker 135 (Millersville/Pleasant Valley).

Then, from 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 8 to 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, there will be a closure on I-79 northbound at mile marker 135 (Millersville/Pleasant Valley). The WVDOH said that lane closure will be 24 hours a day.

Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule, the WVDOH said.

Drivers are asked by the WVDOH to expect delays, plan ahead and allow additional time for their commutes.
