Both of the candidates running in the May 7, 2024, Democratic primary election for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District — D. Liam Dorris (D) and Timothy Peck (D) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. Dorris:

• “Advocating for Ethical Governance
• Advocating for Economic Justice
• Advocating Universal Healthcare”

Peck:

• “I am running to represent all Hoosiers in Indiana-9 – no matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or Independent. … We need to shake loose the deadlock, and I intend to shine a beacon on how that can be done.
• I believe that every dollar we spend should be scrutinized and optimized. Every year, for example, the federal government spends $1.6 trillion dollars on healthcare. Billions of those dollars are wasted or misallocated … I will be a force in Congress to create a better healthcare system that we can all be proud of.
• I do not believe the government should regulate a woman’s reproductive health choices.”
