Williamsport, Pa. — Community leaders will hold a program focused on child safety in our region this May.

The Kids Safe Symposium, led by the James V. Brown Library, State Rep. Jamie Flick, and the Lycoming County Coroner's Office will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library.

There will be a meet-and-greet with Rep. Jamie Flick and the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office will provide various resources regarding child safety.

The event will feature a Bike Safety Rodeo course presented by Safe Kids PA Lycoming County. Kids are encouraged to bring their own bike, but those who do not have a bike can still participate in the rodeo. Participants will learn about bike helmets, hand signals, and other safety measures.

The library will have a booth set up to share its summer learning initiatives and more, and several local organizations will be on hand providing information about safety, health, and wellness.

Registration is required. For more information, please call 570-321-1270 or visit: repflick.com/events .
