LOGAN — After months of careful work, the Hocking County Zoning Committee’s public survey has gone live.

The committee hopes to receive a diverse array of public engagement and input from its survey. It is currently in the process of searching for a consultant that will help them draft a zoning ordinance, to be on the ballot by as soon as 2025.

All residents of Hocking County are encouraged to participate. The zoning survey can be accessed and filled out at the regional planner’s website, hocking.oh.gov/regionalplanning, on the left-hand dropdown menu.

For those that would prefer to give their input by hand, paper copies will soon be available at all public libraries in Hocking County. They can also be obtained at the regional planning office at 93 West Hunter Street, in the same building as the Board of Elections.

Audie Wykle, the committee’s chair, can be reached at the regional planning office at 740-380-9634, or at regionalplanner@hocking.oh.gov.
