    BASEBALL

    Division I

    Lincoln 4, Pilgrim 2

    Carson Mellen and Lucas Marshall each collected a pair of hits (Marshall also had 2 RBIs) as the Lions (3-3) plated 4 runs by the third and made it stand up against the Patriots. On the mound, Sean Clifford struck out 4 over 4 innings and Jon-luca Feole fanned 5 in 2.2 innings of relief. For Pilgrim, Aidan Ferreira had an RBI in the loss.

    Cranston West 11, Portsmouth 2

    The Falcons (5-6) connected for 15 hits, led by Ryan Zarella , who was 4-5, and Chris Barboza , 3-5. Ethan Madden went 2-5 and drove in a team-high 3 RBIs in the victory. On the mound, Barboza and Logan Taylor combined to strike out 8 and allow just one earned run. For the Patriots (5-5), Matthew Nolan went 2-3 with an RBI in the loss.

    Coventry 1, Smithfield 0

    Anthony Colucci fired a six-hit shutout and Griffin Frenze drove in the lone run as the Oakers (7-4) edged the Sentinels (5-6). Colucci struck out five and Frenze managed his RBI in the top of the sixth inning as Coventry held off the hosts.

    Division III

    West Warwick 12, BVP/Central Falls 0

    The Wizards scored early and often en route to a mercy-rule shortened victory. Josh Pedus led the hit parade, going 3-4 with 4 RBIs, and Zack Lawrence drove in two more. West Warwick recorded 12 hits on the day to remain undefeated in Division III. On the mound, Lawrence combined with Zach LaBonte and Mason Hunt to keep BVP hitless.

    SOFTBALL

    Division II

    LNP 5, Johnston 2

    Singles by Brielle Lambert and Riddhi Mistry in the fourth inning gave LNP (3-3) the lead and, in the circle, Lauren Cipriano allowed just 2 hits and struck out 4 to earn the victory. Cipriano and Makenna Heon each had a pair of hits. For Johnston (5-2), Arianna Velasquez went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Haley Boudreau struck out nine in the loss.

    Westerly 15, Burrillville/N. Smithfield 2

    The undefeated Bulldogs' bats were not to be denied on Wednesday as Westerly pounded out 10 hits, including a home run by Sophia Valentini , to roll past Burrillville. Ella Keegan was 3-3 with 2 RBI and Isabella Austin was 2-2 with 2 RBI in the win. Valentini and Lyla Auth threw 5 innings and combined to strike out 8. For the Broncos (1-6), Avah Colbert and Adrianna Carter each had a hit and an RBI in the loss.

    Narragansett 14, Barrington 13

    The Mariners' Payton Abrams went 2-3, including a double, before stealing home in the bottom of the 7th inning to secure the victory over the Eagles, after a sacrifice fly by Brieanna Reidy tied the game. Starting pitcher Delaney Bonneau earned the win, pitching all 7 innings and striking out 4, while going 2-3 at the plate, including a double and 3 RBIs. Barrington was led by shortstop A. Renzi who went 2-3 at the plate with an RBI. Narragansett improves to 5-2, while Barrington falls to 0-8.

    Ponaganset 14, Middletown 1

    Maia Salvo struck out 10 batters over 4 innings, allowing just 1 hit on two walks to help the Chieftains remain unbeaten (8-0) in league play. At the plate, Salvo had a hit and 3 RBIs. Chloe Barber pitched the 5th inning and struck out all three batters she faced, and at the plate recorded 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Kelsey Welby had the Islanders' (0-8) lone hit in the loss.

    BOYS LACROSSE

    Division III

    Westerly 13, Mt. Hope 5

    Caleb Williams and Matt Horton scored 5 and 4 goals, respectively, in the Bulldogs victory over the Huskies. Williams also had 3 assists in the win. For the Huskies, Charles Knapman had 2 goals in the loss.

    Smithfield 14, Burrillville 2

    Nick Pike led the Sentients with 5 goals and 2 assists, and Jacob Boudreau had 4 goals in his return from injury. In net, Dalton Donoyan had 8 saves in the victory.

    Division IV

    Rogers 11, North Providence 4

    David Rivera and Max Martland had 4 goals each to lead the Vikings to the overwhelming victory. Rivera also had 3 assists in the game. They were assisted by Connor Hole-Young with a goal and 2 assists, Luke Mathews with a goal and an assist, and Dylan Marvelle ’s goal.

    GIRLS LACROSSE

    Division II

    Toll Gate 12, Cranston West 2

    Adeline Areson led the Titans with 8 goals and 2 assists, Isabella Lafontaine added 2 goals, and Kailyn Pale and Delanie Wheeler each had a goal and 2 assists in the win. Cranston West goals came from Julie levy and Zoe Budano . In net, Jada Stackhouse made 14 saves for West (1-5); Mary McNulty had 7 for Toll Gate (4-3).

    Division II

    Pilgrim 10, Mt. Hope 9

    In a battle of the winless Division II teams, Lily Farrell had five goals, including the winning tally which snapped a 9-9 tie and put the Patriots in the win column for the first time this year. Farrell also had two assists in the game. Also contributing to the win were Kiley Strain with 4 goals and 1 assist and Taylor Mooney who added 1 goal. For the Huskies, Adrianna Botelho had tree goals and assisted on another, Maria Lacey had two goals and 2 assists, Lola Silva also had two goals and Laney Dufficy added one more score in the loss.

    Burrillville 11, Cumberland 9

    Emilia Ferrara found the back of the net 4 times and added an assist an teammate Olivia Fullam added two more scores as the Broncos got by the Clippers. Abby Skurka scored a hattrick of Cumberland in the loss.

    BOYS VOLLEYBALL

    Division I

    La Salle 3, East Greenwich 0

    The Rams' Ali Abdur-Razzak had 26 assists, 4 aces and 8 digs, Ephraim Abhulime added 14 kills and 5 digs, and Jahmir Evans had 9 kills and 8 digs in the win, 25-22, 25-12, 25-22. For the Avengers, Zack Gessmna had 10 kills and Michael Dobrzanski had 3 aces and 10 digs in the loss.

    North Smithfield 3, Coventry 0

    Caden Sullivan had 37 assists, Tom Matchett had 12 kills and Devin Brotka had 5 kills and 2 aces for the Northmen in the win, 25-23, 25-21, 28-26. For the Oakers, Cameron Marcotte had 6 kills and 4 blocks in the loss.

    Division II

    Lincoln 3, Westerly 0

    Lincoln's Wayne McNamara recorded 15 kills and 19 digs, and Brian Gugel added 10 kills 5 blocks in the Lions (7-3) win, 20-25, 24-26, 22-25. Westerly (4-5) was led by Jack Kenyon 's 9 digs, 12 kills and 3 aces.

    West Warwick 3, Pilgrim 2

    Colin Kelly had 20 kills, 7 blocks and 2 aces to pace the Wizards. Alex Hoxie helped in the effort with 10 kills, 12 digs and 2 blocks (16-25, 25-21, 26-24, 21-25 and 15-11). For the Patriots, Jack Eaton had 9 kills and 3 aces and Sam Skinner had 8 kills. West Warwick improves to 2-8 while Pilgrim remains winless at 0-9.

    Division III

    Central Falls 3, Johnston 0

    Jamilson Depina Almeida had 18 kills and 3 aces, Keandro Pinto recorded 10 kills and 3 aces and Jovanny Lopez had 30 assists and six aces in the Warriors sweep of the Panthers, 25-21, 27-25, 25-14.

    Mt. Hope 3, Achievement First 2

    For the Huskies (7-2), Isaiah Bourgeault had 9 kills and 3 blocks, Nate Fisher had 20 digs and 5 aces, and Josh Vitullo had 20 assists and 4 aces in the win, 22-25, 25-27, 25-11, 25-18, 15-8. For Achievement First (2-8), Jonathan Lopez had 6 aces and 5 kills in the loss.
