    Warm and dry on Thursday; cooler this weekend

    HEADLINES:

    • Temperatures really heat up tomorrow, but then cool back down.
    • Rain heads our way over the weekend.

    FORECAST:

    Storm Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says there will be warmer temperatures tomorrow. The range will be between 72 and 80 degrees. Northern and western Fairfield County will see some of the highest temperatures and push 80 degrees. Tomorrow is dry, but clouds will come in at night and clear during the day.

    There will be more clouds on Friday and temperatures will drop back into the 60s. The weekend will feature more clouds and cooler temperatures too. Saturday night and through Sunday there is a risk of rain. Sunday looks cool, breezy and damp with highs only in the middle 50s.

    NIGHT SKY:

    The Eta Aquarids peak Sunday night, but with rain and clouds in the area, viewing will be impacted. This meteor shower comes from debris left behind from Halley's Comet.

    THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs between 72-80.

    FRIDAY: Partly sunny and cooler. High of 64.

    SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, showers later in the evening and night. High of 60.

    SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy, showers and breezy. Much cooler. High of 54.
