WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jamie Markham, 36, for allegedly throwing a huge rock through the sheriff’s office’s front window.

On Tuesday, Markham was lying down smoking a cigarette in the lobby of the sheriff’s office, according to court documents. Police said they told the suspect to leave the lobby.

Markham argued with them but eventually left the building, according to authorities. Officials said they saw the suspect walk in the northwest direction of the building and throw a rock through the front window.

The suspect has been arrested 15 times with charges ranging from assault to damage to property, according to court documents.

The front lobby’s broken glass window is valued at around $800.

Markham was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail and is being charged with criminal damage to government property.
