    BASEBALL

    Division II

    East Providence 4, Middletown 3

    Tim Robitaille scattered seven hits and two runs over 6⅓ innings, striking out 11 and walking three, as he helped the Townies improve to 7-0 with a win that took 8 innings. Jacob Mello led the Islanders (3-7) with 3 hits.

    Division III

    SOFTBALL

    Division III

    Davies 11, Tiverton 9

    Both teams brought out their hitting sticks but Davies outhit Tiverton, 18-7, and outlasted the Tigers. Catcher Madison Blanchette had 2 hits with 4 RBI and teammate Kylie Robert went 4-for-5 to lead the way for the Patriots. For the Tigers, Lia Doster and Lyla Staskiewicz each had hits and drove in 2 runs apiece in the loss.

    Rogers 14, Mount St. Charles 4

    Brynn Palmer led the Vikings with 4 hits, including a double, and 2 runs scored. Taylor Gray and Jasani Ramos each had 4 hits and 4 runs scored. Tess Margolis earned the win, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits while striking out 4. Kristah Leclair had a hit and 2 runs scored. Mia Norris and Madeleine Belisle each scored a run for Mount.

    BOYS LACROSSE

    Division IV

    Rogers 14, North Providence 4

    The Vikings built a 12-0 lead in the first half and cruised to their fifth win in eight decisions. David Rivera finished with 5 goals, Max Martland contributed with 4, Connor Hole-Young had 3 goals and 1 assist, Luke Matthews had 1 goal and 4 assists and Brayden Ward had 9 saves in the win. Colin Dorgin had 2 goals and Jeffery Gartsu and Nick Iozzi had a goal and an assist for the Cougars, now 2-8 Their goalie, Camden Reed , made 10 saves to keep it close.
