    Two arrested on drug charges in interstate investigation in Macon Co.

    MACON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – Two people were arrested after drugs were seized in an interstate investigation starting in Macon County.

    According to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Teresa Green was arrested on April 15 on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place and possession of drug paraphernalia. 85 grams (3 oz) of methamphetamine were seized during her arrest.

    Following the arrest, the sheriff’s office and the Franklin Police Department obtained information provided to investigators in Geneva County, Alabama which launched an interstate investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

    Officials said around 8:08 a.m. on April 26, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Drug Enforcement Task executed a search warrant at a residence located on North State Highway 27 in Geneva County that led to the arrest of Tony Wayne Rodgers.

    During the search, 678 grams (1.5 pounds) of methamphetamine, 27 firearms, $8400, multiple drug paraphernalia objects, marijuana, synthetics and a small amount of unidentified substance were seized.

    Rodgers was arrested, transported and booked into the Geneva County Jail without incident.
