    Good morning, Small Wonder.

Well, we’ve had a little taste of summer. How are you enjoying it so far?

I want to start today off with a reminder that as the summer months approach, the need for blood donations increases. Your two-for-Tuesday today is two stories about the blood supply:

While we are talking health and safety, here’s another story I want to be sure you see today: With extreme weather ahead , Delaware wants communities to develop “resiliency strategies.’’ Read all about it.

It’s also Taco Tuesday, so here is a guide to food trucks , some of which sell tacos.

At any point in Delaware, you will find yourself no further than 30 miles or so from the state's nearest prison, writes Xeres Wilson.

“However, when a person in Delaware mails a letter addressed to a person held in one of the state's four prison facilities, that correspondence must travel more than 4,000 miles, to Las Vegas, before eventually returning to Delaware and its intended recipient,’’ he writes.

“The long detour for about 3,000 pieces of mail sent each month to Delaware's prisons is part of Delaware Department of Correction's new mail screening processes that this month was implemented at each of the state's prisons and jail lockups after a recent, yearlong test period at the state's largest prison.’’
