    Friendly reminder: You probably want to add a Goodwill haul to your to-do list for next weekend. As you make organization and home decor updates throughout the year, not every home addition has to be brand-spankin' new. Thrifting certain items can help you save money and even boost your creativity when things need more customization. From a greater good perspective, buying products secondhand also helps prevent certain items from ending up in a landfill or worse, in our oceans. TLDR: There are a lot of wins to be had by occasionally (at least!) skipping the big box retailers.

    If you learn nothing else about thrifting and flipping furniture from Goodwill, know that it's the premiere place to start when you want to dupe a piece of Anthropologie furniture.

    This buffet needs TONS of love but TikToker and furniture flipper, @FlipDaddie was up for the challenge if it meant NOT spending almost $1700 for its doppelganger at Anthropologie . After much sanding, wood filler application, painting, stenciling, and adding gold hardware, she succeeded at duping the expensive furniture piece and making it look a bit better actually.

    4. A $20 Goodwill bar cart became way more stunning after a few quick updates.

    TikToker Brianna spotted this bar cart and immediately had a vision to dupe a much more expensive one at Anthropologie. After cleaning and sanding the bar cart, this furniture flipper also added fluting to the sides and spray-painted the wine rack gold. Afterward, she replaced the bland black wheels with gold ones to match the wine rack to make the bar cart look even more high-end.

    Who knew wood stain could be used on baskets like this? TikToker Allie Rose, apparently. She applied a little of the stain in the rich Espresso hue. She only updated the inside of the baskets with the deep stain to add more dimension and "character."
